Custom Mosaic Art

I was born in Chicago in 1955 to parents who were both artistic. My mom was an accomplished musician and my father was a musician and an artist. The middle of 3 sisters, I grew up knowing that I had musical talent, but believed that both of my sisters inherited our father’s talent for creating art and that talent somehow skipped me. I began creating mosaics in 2019, and it was then that I realized I also had my father’s talent for artistic expression.

In March, 2019, I sat for a few hours with a close friend, the talented mosaic artist, Doreen Bell, as I began learning the craft and art of mosaic. My first piece was spectacular, causing friends and family to commission me to make pieces for them, and THAT is how my business began! Today, I have created hundreds of pieces that put smiles on the faces of customers and recipients of my art, regardless of whether they are newborn or 100 years old!

I’m a self-taught artist (with the help of talented friends) and I create my pieces using broken glass, china, crystals, stained and tempered glass, tiles, letters and pieces of jewelry. My favorite commissions are when my customer and I use our imaginations to turn past family treasures into future family heirlooms.
